Skagway - The last free, ranger-led walking tour of the Dyea Townsite for 2018 is Thursday, August 16. The 90 minute tours are offered Monday-Thursday at 3:00 p.m. To participate before the season ends, meet the park ranger at the entrance to the Dyea Townsite. Bring water and dress for the weather.
To learn about Dyea without a park ranger, there are 13 interpretive panels installed along the site’s accessible trails. These trails around the Dyea Townsite, completed in summer of 2017, recreate the boomtown’s historic street grid. Compact, level surfaces make the trails suitable for wheelchairs, walkers, bikes, and strollers.
