End of Season Program Schedule, September & October 2018

Skagway - Klondike Gold Rush National Historical Park transitions to winter hours as the 2018 cruise ship season concludes. Limited visitor services will be available October 3.

Chilkoot Trail Center

September 5 is the last day to get a permit to hike the Chilkoot Trail, rangers will stop patrolling the trail September 13th. The Trail Center closes for the season on September 15. After Sept. 15, hikers should check in at the visitor center at 2nd Avenue and Broadway to clear customs and receive trail conditions.

Junior Ranger Activity Center

September 13 is your last chance to earn a Junior Ranger badge at the fun and interactive center. After the center closes, visitors can become Junior Rangers by completing a Junior Ranger Activity Book at the visitor center or online at go.nps.gov/KLGOJrRanger.

Moore Homestead Museum

The Moore Homestead Museum is open when a ship is in port through September 26. It will be open for a limited time on October 3; check details at the visitor center.

Mascot Saloon Museum

The Mascot Saloon Museum is open daily through September 28 and also open October 3.

Jeff. Smiths Parlor Museum

The Jeff. Smiths Parlor Museum is open for free tours at 11:15am, 1:15pm, and 4:15pm when a ship is in port through September 26. On Oct. 3, it will be open for limited tours; check details at the visitor center.

Visitor Center and Museum

The park visitor center at 2nd Avenue and Broadway is open daily through September 26. The park museum is open daily through September 28. Starting Oct. 1, its winter hours are Monday through Friday, 8:00am to 3:00pm.

Tours

Walking tours of the Skagway Historic District continue - but may be limited - through October 3 every day a ship is in port; check details at the visitor center.
