Fire danger elevated to very high in Yellowstone

The following press release was published by the U.S. Department of the Interior, National Park Service on Sept. 10, 2018. It is reproduced in full below.

* With continued warm and dry weather across the park and no significant cooling in sight, Yellowstone’s fire danger is now VERY HIGH.

* There are currently no fire restrictions in the park. As always, campfires are only permitted in fire rings in campgrounds and some backcountry campsites. All campfires must be cold to the touch before abandoning: soak, stir, feel, repeat.
