Join Jeanie Powell and learn about medicinal plants, also called medicinal herbs, and how they were discovered and used in traditional medicine practices. Over generations, the people living in the high valleys and plains of New Mexico had to survive and sustain themsleves off the land. For their health, the people would turn to the traditional knowledge of the medicinal properties of certain plants. Discover the historic and contemporary use of herbs in New Mexico.
