Reopening of the Wright Brothers National Memorial Visitor Center Postponed Until October 20, 2018

The following press release was published by the U.S. Department of the Interior, National Park Service on Sept. 21, 2018. It is reproduced in full below.

The grand reopening event for the Wright Brothers National Memorial visitor center is postponed due to delays caused by Hurricane Florence. The new reopening date for the National Historic Landmark visitor center is Saturday, Oct. 20, 2018. Entrance fees will be waived on this very special day.

Wright Brothers National Memorial was not impacted by Hurricane Florence; however, due to pre-storm and post-storm safety precautions, the delivery and installation of all new exhibits was delayed.

Additional details about the grand reopening event will be released in the next couple of weeks.
