Homestead National Monument of America Closed Thanksgiving Day
Homestead National Monument of America’s Heritage and Education Centers will be closed on Thanksgiving Day, Thursday, Nov. 22, 2018. The trails and other outdoor areas are open from dawn to dusk every day, including Thanksgiving Day.
On Friday, November 23 the Homestead Heritage and Education Centers will open at 8:30 a.m. November 23-25, 2018, is also a Junior Ranger Weekend. Come complete a new scavenger hunt for information found in the Winter Festival of Prairie Culture exhibits. Enjoy decorations from many cultures at both the Heritage and Education Centers. On Sunday, Nov. 25, 2018, at 2 p.m. at the Education Center, Beth Sparrow from the Nebraska State Genealogical Society will speak about researching your own family history.

Homestead National Monument of America is a unit of the National Park Service located four miles west of Beatrice, Nebraska and 45 miles south of Lincoln. Hours of operation are 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday, and 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday and Sunday. Admission is free of charge.
