Fitzs Root Beer Presents JNPA With Large Check

The following press release was published by the U.S. Department of the Interior, National Park Service on Nov. 19, 2018. It is reproduced in full below.

Recently a limited addition Fitz's Root Beer had been sold at the Gateway Arch and Old Courthouse Gift Shops. The Gateway Arch has been incorporated into the Fitz's bottle lables and four-back carrier. The two icons trace there beginnings back to 1947 when the architectual competition was held that resulted in the creation of the Arch and Fitz's Root Beer was brewed that same year.

The Gateway Arch was incorporated into Fitz's classic logo of red, white and blue. The carries detail the story of the Arch and the recent renovations to the park grounds which culminated with the grand opening of the new museum and visitor center July 3.

Locals and tourist alike were able to purchase the root beer this summer at The Arch Store, the Old Courthouse Gift Shop, Fitz's in the Delmar Loop, and select grocery stores in the metro St. Louis area including Schucks Markets and Straubs.

Portions of the proceeds from the sale of the commemorative root beer will benefit Jefferson National Parks Association (JNPA), which supports the programming at the Gateway Arch and Old Courthouse. Thanks to everyone who purchased this limited edition root beer.
