Holiday Hours Announced at Homestead National Monument of America
Homestead National Monument of America’s visitor centers will be closed on the following days for the holidays: Monday, Dec. 24, 2018 from 2-5 p.m.; Tuesday Dec. 25, 2018; and Tuesday Jan. 1, 2019. Homestead National Monument of America will remain open all other days during the holiday season for those who wish to explore the Homestead Heritage and Education Centers, view Winter Festival of Prairie Cultures, or shop for unique gifts.
The grounds and parking lots are open from dawn to dusk every day, including holidays when facilities are closed. All are welcome to park at either building and enjoy walking or skiing the trails. Visit the Winter Festival of Prairie Cultures, Friday, Nov. 23, 2018 through Sunday, January 6, 2019. Exhibits on the winter and holiday traditions of various Great Plains ethnic and cultural groups are on display at both the Heritage Center and Education Center.

Homestead National Monument of America is a unit of the National Park Service located four miles west of Beatrice, Nebraska and 45 miles south of Lincoln. Hours of operation are 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday, and 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday and Sunday. Admission is free of charge.
