Cedar Breaks Switching to Charge Card Only Payments

The following press release was published by the U.S. Department of the Interior, National Park Service on Jan. 29, 2019. It is reproduced in full below.

Cedar Breaks National Monument, UT - Beginning in May this 2019 season, payments for park entrance fees, campground fees and Interagency Pass purchases at Cedar Breaks National Monument will be by credit and debit card only. Cash and check payments will no longer be accepted. Visitors can pay via the following charge cards: American Express, Master Card, Visa, Discover and Diners International. As always, recreation passes will be honored for entrance fees. Senior and Access passes will still provide a discount on camping.

Visitors needing to pay entrance fees with cash or check will have the option to do so at the Zion Forever Project bookstore located in the Information Center at Point Supreme.

“This change in park operations will greatly reduce the amount of liability, time and overhead needed to run the park’s fee program, allowing more of our fees to be used on projects and programs that enhance the visitor’s experience at Cedar Breaks," stated Ken Watson, Chief of Interpretation at Cedar Breaks.
