Celebrate National Park Week 2019 at Big South Fork NRRA

Big South Fork National River & Recreation Area will be observing National Park Week from Saturday, April 20-28. The week will kick off with free backcountry camping permits as well as free camping at Alum Ford Campground on Saturday, April 20.

National Park Week also commemorates:

1. April 20: National Junior Ranger Day

2. April 21: Military & Veterans Recognition Day

3. April 22: Earth Day

4. April 27: Bark Ranger Day

Come to the Big South Fork and enjoy a diverse range of recreational opportunities such as horseback riding, river rafting, hiking and mountain biking.

For the past 100 years, the mission statement of the National Park Service has been...to preserve unimpaired the natural and cultural resources and values of the national park system for the enjoyment, education, and inspiration of this and future generations.
