Changes in Water Availability at Seven Lake Roosevelt National Recreation Area Campgrounds

Changes in Water Availability at Seven Lake Roosevelt National Recreation Area Campgrounds

The following press release was published by the U.S. Department of the Interior, National Park Service on March 25, 2019. It is reproduced in full below.

Due to changes in Washington State Department of Health well water monitoring regulations for wells under surface water influence, water will not be available at any campground with hand water pumps during the 2019 summer season. This affects water availability at seven campgrounds:

Kettle River Campground

Snag Cove Campground

North Gorge Campground

Marcus Island Campground

Kamloops Island Campground

Cloverleaf Campground

Hawk Creek Campground

Haag Cove Campground

The National Park Service is currently evaluating the situation to find the best solution for the future. If you plan on camping at any of the campgrounds listed above this summer, please make sure to bring water from home.
