No Shuttle Service at Pinnacles on March 30, Expect Large Crowds and Limited Parking

PAICINES - Shuttle transportation in Pinnacles National Park will be unavailable this Saturday. Visitors should expect to start hiking from the Pinnacles Visitor Center, approximately 3 miles from the Bear Gulch day use area. Normal shuttle service will resume on Sunday, March 31.

Pinnacles National Park experiences its peak visitation during the spring, and visitors should be prepared for crowded conditions and long waits for parking. “We’re advising all visitors to pack their patience this time of year," said Acting Superintendent Lisa McInnis. “Wildflowers, weather, and spring breaks draw large crowds in March and April, and visitors may end up waiting longer or hiking further to access some of the trails in the park."

Pinnacles is most crowded between the hours of 9:00 am and 3:00 pm on weekends, and visitors may experience wait times of more than two hours for parking.
