Fort Union National Monument announces its annual Junior Ranger Camp beginning on Thursday, May 30th through Friday, May 31st. These all-day camps will allow area youth to discover the history, culture and nature of 19th century life in the American Southwest.
Thursday’s camp is for 7-9-year-olds and Friday’s camp is for 10-12-year-olds. Junior Ranger Camp starts each day with registration at 9:30 am and finishes each day with the swearing-in ceremony of the new Junior Rangers at 3:30 pm. Junior Ranger Camp is a free program, and both camps will feature fun, hands-on activities and interactive games. Parents will be able to drop off their children at the start of camp and pick them up at the end of the day. Advance registration is required. Space for each camp is limited to 20 children.
