Dark Sky Talk

Dark Sky Talk

The following press release was published by the U.S. Department of the Interior, National Park Service on June 20, 2019. It is reproduced in full below.

Join Mr. Sam Finn of the Santa Fe Stargazers and learn helpful tips for observing a summer sky with the naked eye and the importance of a natural dark sky. Once the long summer days come to an end, the dark night sky of New Mexico comes to life. If you are able to escape the artificial light of towns and cities, New Mexico offers a great opportunity to view celestial bodies and the Milky Way.

This free program will be held at the CCHP/Santa Fe Trail Interpretive Center at 116 Bridge Street in Las Vegas, NM, on Thursday, June 20, 2019 at 7:00PM. This program is presented in partnership with the Las Vegas Citizens Committee for Historic Preservation and the New Mexico Humanities Council.
