Learn the art of dutch oven cooking with Wilbur Johnson on Saturday, July 13 at the Homestead Education Center. The program begins at 7 p.m. Johnson has practiced dutch oven cooking for decades and has been a regular demonstrator at Homestead National Monument of America’s annual Homestead Days. He will demonstrate for visitors how to make a meal and is more than happy to share recipes!
Following the dutch oven cooking demonstration there will be a musical performance by The Blueberry Boys, who placed second in Homestead National Monument of America’s Tallgrass Prairie Fiddle Festival acoustic band contest.
In the event of inclement weather, programs will be moved indoors. We also invite you back each Saturday through Aug. 10, 2019, for a weekly campfire program! Visit https://www.nps.gov/home to learn more about the individual programs.
