Join National Park Service (NPS) staff and visitors at the Platte River Campground Amphitheater at 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, July 25, and get involved in an exploration of science that is both enlightening and fun! Scientific research helps park managers make important decisions when caring for our parks. Come discover how science works, explore your own ideas about science, and learn about scientific investigations going on in Sleeping Bear Dunes National Lakeshore!
In addition, don’t miss learning all about the Great Lakes Research and Education Center and the current research projects taking place in the park. This next day program will be held at 10:00 a.m., Friday, July 26, at the Philip A. Hart Visitor Center in Empire.
All programs offered by the National Lakeshore are free. Participants need only purchase the park entrance pass or have an annual pass displayed in their vehicle to join in the fun.
