National Park Service Announces Selection of Glacier Landing Air Taxi and Glacier Landing Air Tour Services Concessioners in Denali National Park and Preserve

The following press release was published by the U.S. Department of the Interior, National Park Service on July 24, 2019. It is reproduced in full below.

The National Park Service (NPS) has completed the selection process for the concession contracts authorizing glacier landing air taxi and glacier landing air tour services within Denali National Park and Preserve.

Contracts for the years 2020-2029 will be awarded to the following operators:

* Fly Denali Inc.

* Rust Air Inc.

* Sheldon Air Service, LLC

* Talkeetna Air Taxi, Inc.

Visitor services provided under the terms of the new contracts are essentially the same as under past contracts. Changes include limiting the areas open to glacier landings for scenic air tours to four landing locations.

In the upcoming months, contracts will be sent to the operators for signatures and once signed, NPS officials will sign and award the contracts. The NPS anticipates the contracts will be effective Jan. 1, 2020.
