Campfire Prohibition on Public Lands in Kenai Peninsula

In response to current extreme fire danger on the Kenai Peninsula, effective immediately and until further notice, all open fires are prohibited in Kenai Peninsula State Parks, Kenai National Wildlife Refuge, Kenai Fjords National Park, and Chugach National Forest lands on the Kenai Peninsula. Use of cooking stoves and gas grills is allowed.

Fire danger remains very high over much of the Kenai Peninsula. Residents and visitors are urged to continue to use extreme caution with anything that could ignite a fire. For statewide fire information, visit the Alaska Interagency Coordination Center website at https://fire.ak.blm.gov/ or http://www.akfireinfo.com.
