The National Park Service (NPS) is releasing a Draft Environmental and Economic Analysis for public review and comment. This document was prepared in response to a right-of-way application submitted by the Alaska Industrial Development and Export Authority as part of the proposed Ambler Mining District Industrial Access Project. Approximately 20 miles of the proposed road crosses NPS lands in the western (Kobuk River) unit of Gates of the Arctic National Preserve.
