Join local and park astronomers for our annual Star Party in Mesa Verde National Park! Enjoy the wonders of the night sky at the Morefield Campground Amphitheater on Saturday, October 5th, from 7:30 pm to 9:30 pm.

Mesa Verde Park Ranger Kayla Lanoue will guide you through this stellar event. Kayla has presented night sky programs at Dinosaur National Monument and Chaco Culture National Historic Park. Highlights will include constellation identification, multicultural sky stories, and stunning telescope views of the many beautiful heavenly objects adorning the early fall night sky.

Things to Know:

· Dress warmly!

· Bring a blanket or chair to sit on.

· No dogs, please.

· Bring binoculars if you have them.

· Red lights ONLY after dark. (We can provide red covers for your flashlight.)

· Morefield Campground is located four miles into the park.
