ALEXANDRIA, Va. - The National Park Service (NPS) is offering a 10-year concessions opportunity for Belle Haven Marina. Belle Haven Marina provides access to the Potomac River and is one of three marinas managed by the George Washington Memorial Parkway.

“We’re looking for a passionate and innovative operator who’s committed to providing outstanding visitor services, to improving marina facilities and to preserving water quality near the marina," Superintendent Charles Cuvelier said.

The NPS seeks business proposals detailing how offerors would provide marina services including wet slip rentals, dry storage, ramp and launch services, non-motorized boat rental and storage, sailing instruction, moorings and vending. Additional services may include guided tours, powerboat instruction, rowing shell/vessel storage and special event services for approved events.

Belle Haven Marina, Inc. currently provides services at Belle Haven Marina.

Site visit

A site visit with an overview of the operations and a tour of the marina facilities for prospective offerors is scheduled for Oct. 16, 2019. All parties interested in attending the site visit must email National Capital Area Chief of Commercial Services, Chad Tinney no later than 12 p.m. EDT, Oct. 15, 2019. All emails must include your name, email address, phone number and the name of the organization or interested party being represented.

To develop your proposal, download the prospectus from the NPS concessions website. To receive updates and amendments on the prospectus, please provide contact information to National Capital Area Chief of Commercial Services, Chad Tinney. Updates will also be posted to the NPS concessions website, listed above.

Submitting your proposal

Proposals must be received by the NPS no later than 4 p.m. EST on Dec. 30, 2019. If you plan to submit a proposal, a notification of intent to propose is due no later than 4 p.m. EST on Dec. 2, 2019.
