Join Fort Union National Monument, your backyard International Dark Sky Park, on Nov. 2, 2019, at 7:00 pm for our first star party of the winter season. Step out onto the high-prairie and immerse yourself in the stories and the starlight of a natural dark sky as rangers guide you through the remains of the old fort, and help you to identify distant stars and galaxies with the naked eye and telescope.
This program, weather permitting, will be held near the visitor center from 7:00 pm - 9:30 pm. No reservation required. Please bring water, clothing suitable for the weather, and comfortable shoes. The monument will provide telescopes.
