Dyea Townsite Road Reopens After Heavy Snowfall Caused Closure

The following press release was published by the U.S. Department of the Interior, National Park Service on Jan. 27, 2020. It is reproduced in full below.

The Dyea Townsite Road is once again open to vehicle traffic after heavy snowfall had prevented the National Park Service from plowing the road on January 26th. Drivers are advised to use extreme caution; warmer temperatures and freezing rain has caused a layer of ice to form on the road.
