BOULDER CITY, Nevada - A temporary emergency closure will go into effect for the Arizona Hot Spring Trail ladder within Lake Mead National Recreation Area, beginning March 17.
The ladder was washed out during a recent flood event and is closed in the interest of public and employee safety.
During the closure, visitors will not be able to reach the hot spring from the Colorado River. Access will only be possible by hiking the very strenuous 2.5-mile Arizona Hot Spring Trail from the U.S. Highway 93 trailhead.
The ladder is scheduled to reopen by April 16.
