Bridgeport, AL - Russell Cave National Monument is announcing additional modifications to operations in response to guidance from the State of Alabama Health Department. The health and safety of our visitors, employees, volunteers, and partners is our number one priority. The National Park Service (NPS) is working servicewide with federal, state, and local authorities to closely monitor the COVID-19 pandemic.
Effective April 2, 2020, Russell Cave National Monument will be closed to all park visitors until further notice. We will notify the public when we resume full operations and provide updates on our website Russell Cave National Monument (U.S. National Park Service) (nps.gov) and social media channels.
The National Park Service encourages people to take advantage of the many digital tools already available to explore Russell Cave.
Updates about NPS operations will be posted on www.nps.gov/coronavirus.
