Fredericksburg & Spotsylvania NMP Announces Road Closures in Advance of Tropical Storm Isaias

Fredericksburg, VA - As a safety measure in advance of Tropical Storm Isaias, Fredericksburg and Spotsylvania National Military Park will close several internal roads to the public, including South Lee Drive on the Fredericksburg Battlefield, all the interior roads on the Spotsylvania Court House Battlefield, and some on the Chancellorsville Battlefield. The closures will take place at 5 p.m. this afternoon, August 3.

All roads that accommodate through traffic or access to residents will remain open.

After the storm passes through, the roads will be reopened as conditions permit.

Monitor the park’s Facebook page for any other changes to access or operational status as a result of the approaching storm.
