The following press release was published by the U.S. Department of the Interior, National Park Service on Aug. 6, 2020. It is reproduced in full below.

September is a great time to experience traditional storytelling at Big South Fork National River and Recreation Area. Join us for the 10th Annual Ghost Train Event, as local storytellers from Kentucky and Tennessee, through the age-old tradition of the spoken word, share their traditional tales from around the region.

The Ghost Train event will be held via social media on YouTube and Facebook. Starting on Saturday, Sept. 12, until Wednesday, Sept. 16, 2020, stream from the comfort of your personal computer or smartphone as a local storyteller spins their tale each evening at 8 PM (ET).

Featured local storytellers for 2020 are: Joan Rodgers, Beth Killburn, Robert Stephens, Jim Buck, and Lounicia and Jordan Hughett.

The event is free and open to the public. For more information call 423-569-9778, or go to: https://www.nps.gov/biso/planyourvisit/bhghosttrain.htm
