Road Closures Around the Washington Monument on August 27

The United States Park Police will close the following roads in the vicinity of the Wahington Monument for the fireworks display by the Republican National Committee starting at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday, August 27. All roads should be reopened by 2 a.m. on Friday, August 28.

* Constitution Ave. NW between 15th St. and 18th St.

* 15th St. between Constitution Ave. NW and Maine Ave. SW

* 17th St. between Constitution Ave. NW and Independence Ave. SW

* Independence Ave. SW between Maine Ave. and 14th St SW. Eastbound Independence Ave. traffic will be diverted onto eastbound Maine Ave.

* Westbound Maine Ave at East Basin Drive SW to Independence Ave SW

* Madison Dr. NW between 14th St. and 15th St. NW

* Jefferson Dr. SW between 14th St. and 15th St. SW
