Beatrice, Nebraska - Join us live from our Facebook channel on Saturday, Oct. 24, at 4:00 pm for a virtual Howling Homestead event. In addition to the virtual event, the first 100 children to visit the Homestead Heritage Center parking lot on Friday, October 23 from 3:00 pm to 5:00 pm will be given a free pumpkin courtesy of the Friends of Homestead, a non-profit organization dedicated to supporting the monument. Any remaining pumpkins will be distributed on Saturday, Oct. 24, from 3:00 pm to 5:00 pm. The free pumpkins will come with carving stencils.
