Electronic Passes Now Available

The following press release was published by the U.S. Department of the Interior, National Park Service on Jan. 7, 2021. It is reproduced in full below.

Joshua Tree National Park passes are now available electronically on recreation.gov at no additional cost. These digital passes can be purchased on a computer or mobile device, either from home or en route to the park. Once purchased, digital passes must be printed or saved on your mobile device prior to use, as there is limited or non-existent Wi-Fi and cell service in the park.

“We are pleased to offer this opportunity," stated Joshua Tree National Park Superintendent David Smith. “Visitors who purchase passes in advance may reduce their wait time at park entrances."

The following digital park entrance passes are available on recreation.gov :

*

Private Vehicle Pass (valid for seven days)

* Motorcycle Pass (valid for seven days)

*

Individual Pass (valid for seven days)

*

Joshua Tree Annual Pass (valid for one year from month of purchase)

Unused digital passes expire after a year. All passes will remain available for in-person purchasing at park entrance stations and visitor centers including the Annual National Parks & Federal Recreational Lands Pass.
