Summer programs at Allegheny Portage Railroad National Historic Site

Costumed rangers perform the tasks and trades that made the Allegheny Portage Railroad function. Programs include stonecutting, log hewing, rope making, natural dyes and more! Programs vary on a daily basis.

Programs begin on Saturday, June 5, 2021 and continue until Sunday, Sept. 26, 2021. The programs are generally held between 10:00 AM-12:00 PM in the mornings and from 2:00 PM- 4:00 PM in the afternoons. The programs are weather and staff dependent.
