Whiskeytown Seeking Help from the Community in Identifying Female Suspect

WHISKEYTOWN, CA - Whiskeytown National Recreation Area is asking for the public’s help in identifying a female suspect involved in a theft at East Beach on June 3. It is unknown if there are other accomplices to the theft.

Through the National Park Service (NPS) investigation, authorities were alerted that the woman was also picked up by surveillance cameras making fraudulent transactions at a business in Redding, California.

Anyone with information about this suspect or the thefts on June 3 at the national recreation area is encouraged to call the investigating officer at (530) 242-3467. Any information provided is greatly appreciated and callers may remain anonymous, although a callback number is helpful if follow up is needed for the investigation.

Whiskeytown National Recreation Area encourages visitors to always lock your vehicle, take valuables with you when away from your vehicle or campsite, and report any suspicious activity immediately by calling 911 or Whiskeytown Dispatch at (530) 242-3431.
