Pleistocene Palooza: Tule Springs Fossil Beds National Monument to Host Event for National Fossil Day

Looking for something fun to do this weekend? Join Tule Springs Fossil Beds National Monument and our partners at Pleistocene Palooza this Saturday, October 9th, from 9 AM - 12 PM at Durango Dr. & Moccasin Rd.

Pleistocene Palooza is an interactive outdoor event for fossil enthusiasts of all ages, featuring live animals and a junior paleontologist program. Visitors can catch a glimpse of Ice Age Las Vegas--Pleistocene fossils will come alive as visitors meet representative animals that live today, including a camel. Event attendees will also have a chance to be sworn in as a Tule Springs Fossil Beds Junior Paleontologists and earn their official Junior Paleontologist badge.

There is no admission fee for Tule Springs Fossil Beds National Monument, and advance tickets or reservations are not required. This event is in celebration of National Fossil Day, an annual celebration held to highlight the scientific and educational value of paleontology and the importance of preserving fossils for future generations.
