MENTOR, OHIO-James A. Garfield National Historic Site will begin its winter hours of operation on Monday, Nov. 1, 2021. The Site’s winter hours will be Friday-Saturday-Sunday, 10 a.m.-5 p.m. The Site’s buildings will be closed to the public Monday-Thursday; the grounds will be open daily, including on days the buildings are closed.
Guided tours of the Garfield home will be offered on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays. Please call the site at (440) 255-8722 to make a house tour reservation.
The Site’s winter hours will be in effect through April 30, 2022.
“We’re excited to offer visitors three days per week to visit James A. Garfield National Historic Site and tour the Garfield home," said Site Manager Todd Arrington. “Visitors are invited to walk the grounds, read outdoor exhibit panels, and take our cell phone tours even on days the buildings are closed."
