Kenai Fjords National Park opened the Exit Glacier Developed Area to off road snowmachine use at noon on Wednesday, December 8, 2021. Open areas include, the Exit Glacier Road, a designated route through the Exit Glacier campground to Exit Creek, and the Exit Glacier outwash plain. Before heading out, all visitors to Kenai Fjords should review park rules and regulations. Kenai Fjords National Park snowmachine regulations can be found on the park’s website at www.nps.gov/kefj/planyourvisit/snowmobileregs.htm.

Park visitors are reminded to be alert for changing snow conditions and hazards buried beneath the snow. While winter in Kenai Fjords can be a beautiful and rewarding place to visit, your safety is your responsibility when visiting your National Parks.

If there are any questions concerning conditions or regulations contact Chief Ranger Jesse Pike at (907) 422-0500.
