Pipestone, MN: All national parks will waive entrance fees on 5 special days in 2022:
* Monday, January 17 - Martin Luther King, Jr. Day
* Saturday, April 16 - First day of National Park Week
* Thursday, August 4 - Anniversary of the Great American Outdoors Act
* Saturday, September 24 - National Public Lands Day
* Friday, November 11 - Veterans Day
Every day is a great day in a national park. Free entrance fee days offer an extra incentive to visit one of these amazing places. We continue to encourage all Americans to discover the beauty and history that lives in our national parks. A national park may be closer to home than you think. National Park Service sites are located in every state and in many major cities. They are places of recreation and inspiration and they are also powerful economic engines for local communities.
Pipestone National Monument was designated in 1937 to protect the quarrying rights of American Indian people and provide for the enjoyment of all. The monument does not currently charge an entrance fee but will offer special activities to celebrate many of the 2022 fee-free days.
