Temporary tour schedule changes for USS Arizona Memorial begin January 10

The following press release was published by the U.S. Department of the Interior, National Park Service on Jan. 7. It is reproduced in full below.

HONOLULU - The National Park Service (NPS) will temporarily modify the schedule for facilitated tours to the USS Arizona Memorial beginning Monday, January 10.

Programs will continue running daily (weather and safety permitting) from 8 a.m. - 3:30 p.m. every 30 minutes. Programs previously ran every 15 minutes.

The NPS is temporarily adjusting the tour schedule to balance use of the temporary docks and allow visitors to spend additional time on the USS Arizona Memorial. The temporary schedule will remain in effect until the permanent shoreside dock can be installed later this year.

The NPS and Navy continue to monitor the recent dock repairs and will notify the public as soon as possible if visits to the USS Arizona Memorial will be interrupted for future maintenance.

Reservations for the facilitated tour are highly recommended and are available via recreation.gov. Standby seating is available daily but wait times will vary. Visit www.nps.gov/pearlharbor and www.facebook.com/PearlHarborNPS for more information.
