Hike the New England Trail with a Ranger!

The following press release was published by the U.S. Department of the Interior, National Park Service on March 14. It is reproduced in full below.

Join us this summer and hike the New England Trail!

The New England Trail is a 215-mile National Scenic Trail running from the Connecticut Sound to the Massachusetts/New Hampshire Border. Along this trail there are scenic overlooks of the wilderness, quaint towns, the coursing Connecticut River, and timeless memories to be made.

Join a Springfield Armory National Historic Site Ranger on various hikes along the New England Trail and discover the fun to be found on the trail. Throughout the summer we will be hosting multiple hikes along different sections of the trail to encourage people to get out and explore the National Scenic Trail in their backyard. Aside from getting outdoors participants will learn some proper hiking etiquette and the benefits of getting outdoors.

Keep checking our Facebook pages Springfield Armory and New England Scenic Trail for more details and dates.

Registration Required. Be sure to register here: Calendar - Springfield Armory National Historic Site (U.S. National Park Service) (nps.gov)

We look forward to exploring the New England Trail with you this Summer!
