Park Celebrates World Oceans Day with Special Programs for the Community on June 4, 2022

Join us for a day full of exciting educational activities as we learn about and celebrate important aspects of our oceans.

Meet us at outdoor stations along the ocean side of the park visitor center to participate!

11 am-1pm The library has prepared a fun “Pirate" themed scavenger hunt in the park. Great for kids!

1-3 pm Outdoor stations include:

Oil Spill Clean up demonstration/ activity with the Coast Guard

Important species in the ocean/ why ocean health is important

Gyotaku (fish printing activity- caution this might get MESSY)

Sea Creature Origami

We are looking forward to spending the day with our friends while celebrating such an important and valuable resource to our community and the world.
