INDIANA DUNES NATIONAL PARK: Take a self-guided hike into the amazing Pinhook Bog on Saturday, June 4, 11, and 18 from 9:00 am to 12:00 pm at Indiana Dunes National Park. Rangers and volunteers will be stationed along the trail to help you understand this unique remnant of the last ice age that is filled with carnivorous insect-eating plants and beautiful orchids. Allow one hour to walk the trail and tour this quaking bog.

The Pinhook Bog parking lot is located at 920 North Wozniak Road in Michigan City. The GPS coordinates are 41.621214, -86.850227 (Decimal Degrees). The national park’s new entrance fee went into effect as of March 31, 2022. The fee is $25 per car for a 1-7-day pass. A $45 annual pass for the Indiana Dunes National Park is also available. Holders of the following federal passes will not pay an entrance fee: Annual, Senior, Veterans/Military/Gold Star Family, 4th Grade, Access (disability), and the Volunteer Passes.
