Little Rock Central High School National Historic Site is proud to announce an opening for a Community Volunteer Ambassador (CVA), a paid 50-week internship with the National Park Service.

Our CVA will be a vital addition to our dedicated team and will collaborate with the interpretive division on projects related to visitor services, stewardship opportunities and service programming throughout our local community.

The position includes a weekly stipend of at least $500, limited health care/childcare benefits, and professional development funds PLUS eligibility for both an AmeriCorps Education Award $6,345 (pre-tax) AND Public Land Corps Hiring Authority upon successful completion of the program!

The CVA position will start on Monday, Sept. 12, 2022, and run for 50 weeks until Friday, Aug. 25, 2023.

Stewards Individual Placements, a program of Conservation Legacy, is excited to support a unique partnership model to facilitate the Community Volunteer Ambassador Program (CVA) for the National Park Service. The CVA program combines the strength of a national leader in conservation service with the National Park Service in order to train a diverse group of emerging leaders to assist park units in building lasting connections to local communities
