Visitor Center Parking Changes and Revised Summer Operating Hours at Russian Bishop’s House

SITKA, ALASKA - Effective July 5th, 2022 through Sept. 30, 2022 all spaces in Sitka NHP Visitor Center upper parking lot will be reserved for Commercial Use Authorization permit holders (commercial tour guides) during the hours of 8 AM - 5 PM. During these hours on these days, individual visitors to the park using personally owned vehicles are allowed in the Visitor Center lower parking lot only. All visitors are welcome to park in the upper lot and visit the park before 8 AM and after 5 PM daily during daylight hours.

Additionally, the Russian Bishop’s House, will have revised operating hours beginning July 8th, 2022. The RBH will be closed on weekends (Saturday and Sunday) except for the following dates: July 15 & 31, August 7, 14, & 28, September 4,17 & 18, 2022; when the building will be open for tours from 9 AM to 5 PM to help curious visitors discover the building’s significance to the local history of Sitka.
