Stage 1 Fire Restrictions Rescinded 8/5/22

The following press release was published by the U.S. Department of the Interior, National Park Service on Aug. 5. It is reproduced in full below.

Under the authority of the Federal Land Management Policy and Management Act of 1976 (43 U.S.C. 1701 et. Seq.) and pursuant to 43 CFR 9212.2, this Fire Prevention Order rescinds fire restrictions for all Bureau of Land Management (BLM) administered public lands within the Arizona Strip District. Effective on August 4th at 8:00 a.m., fire restrictions for Bureau of Land Management (BLM) lands administered by the Arizona Strip District will be lifted. Sufficient moisture has been received, indices are at moderate and fire activity has been light. All these factors combine to indicate restrictions are no longer necessary.
