Wrangell-St. Elias Subsistence Resource Commission Announces October 3-4 Meeting

COPPER CENTER, AK - The Wrangell-St. Elias National Park Subsistence Resource Commission will meet by teleconference on Monday, Oct. 3, and Tuesday, October4, 2022, to consider a range of issues related to subsistence hunting and fishing in the park. These are the alternate meeting dates published in the Federal Register.

Commission business will include the opportunity to comment on proposals to change federal subsistence fishing regularions and revisions to the park's policy on subsistence log harvests. Additionally, a variety of reports will be presented. The teleconference is open to the public, and public testimony opportunities are provided. Members of the public are encouraged to participate. Written comments may also be emailed to e-mail us by 4 PM on Thursday, Sept. 29, 2022, for presentation during the meeting.

On Oct. 3, the meeting will start at 9 AM and recess for the day at 5 PM or upon completion of business. On October 4, the meeting will start at 9 AM and continue until business is completed. If business is completed on Oct. 3, 2022, the meeting will adjourn, and no meeting will take place on October 4, 2022.
