The Energy Department will present a live webinar titled “Speaking the CFO Language: Building the Case for Energy Efficiency with Financial Decision-makers" on Tuesday, Oct. 1, from 3:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. Eastern Daylight Time. Better Buildings Challenge partners USAA Real Estate Company, University of California at Irvine, and Kohl's will share best practices for communicating the value of building energy efficiency projects and working with financial decision-makers. Audience members will learn about an online tool which lets users analyze the financial value of proposed building energy efficiency upgrades, a simple seating arrangement change that fostered new collaboration on energy efficiency, and best practices from the higher education sector for securing support for energy efficiency projects. The target audience for this presentation is facility managers, building owners, and others who advocate for energy efficiency projects in buildings.

October 3: Live Webinar on the Bioenergy Knowledge Discovery Framework

The Energy Department will present a live webinar titled “Using the New Bioenergy KDF for Data Discovery and Research" on Thursday, Oct. 3, from 2:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. Eastern Daylight Time. The webinar will highlight the recent launch of the redesigned Bioenergy Knowledge Discovery Framework (KDF) and provide attendees with an overview of the site, a demonstration of its user interface, and case studies of how it may be used by researchers, industry, policy makers, and the public to support and inform bioenergy research, analysis, and decision making.
