RICHLAND, Wash. - The Reduction-Oxidation Plant, or REDOX, was shut down more than 40 years ago after it was used for processing irradiated fuel rods, and recovering plutonium for weapons and uranium to make more fuel rods. The repairs keep rain and snow from entering the building and spreading contamination. Watch a video about the project here.
