Under Secretary of State for Civilian Security, Democracy, and Human Rights and U.S. Special Coordinator for Tibetan Issues Uzra Zeya will travel to New York City October 20-21, 2022. During her trip, Under Secretary Zeya will speak at a U.S. Department of State recruitment event at the City College of New York (CCNY) Colin Powell School for Civic and Global Leadership, an Asian American and Native American Pacific Islander-Serving Institution (AANAPISI) and Hispanic-Serving Institution. Additionally, Under Secretary Zeya will speak at the Tibet Fund’s 12th Annual Gala, an annual event honoring outstanding individuals for their contributions to the preservation of Tibetan culture and identity.
