Deputy Administrator Paloma Adams-Allen will travel to Miami, Florida to attend USAID’s second annual 2022 Hispanic Serving Institutions (HSI)/LatinX Conference on October 20. The Deputy Administrator will be delivering the keynote address for the conference, which is hosted in partnership with Florida International University (FIU), and attended by students, alumni, faculty, staff, USAID partners.
During the conference, Deputy Administrator Adams-Allen will discuss how USAID is partnering with HSIs and the Hispanic/LatinX community to drive innovative solutions in the field of global development. She will also discuss how USAID is expanding its partnerships through outreach to new partners to support career and business development opportunities. The Deputy Administrator will also announce the winners of a new case competition with prizes for winning student teams through USAID’s Innovation and Diversity Engagement Awards (IDEA) sponsored in partnership with the PepsiCo Foundation.
Following her participation at the conference, DA Adams-Allen will meet with senior FIU officials to deepen USAID’s relationships with FIU and reinforce our commitment to our ongoing partnership.
