IB 22-55: Apportionment of the Groundfish Reserve in the Bering Sea and Aleutian Islands Management Area

The 2022 initial total allowable catch for four species or species groups in the Bering Sea and Aleutian Islands (BSAI) management area have been supplemented by amounts of the reserve according to Jonathan M. Kurland, Administrator, Alaska Region, NMFS.  This action is being taken in accordance with 50 CFR 679.20(b)(3).

The following table summarizes the apportionment in metric tons:

 Fishermen are reminded that all actions and closures remain in full force and effect.  This apportionment does not rescind or modify closures to directed fishing or actions prohibiting retention of a groundfish species.
