Today the U.S. Census Bureau announced the release of Census Business Builder (CBB) version 3.4 with new data capabilities and updates. Per data user request, version 3.4 of the Small Business Edition includes an industry cluster feature for the first time. This feature allows data users to build custom groupings of up to 10 industries of their choosing and generate maps and reports that show the summarized data for all industries included in the cluster.

In addition, data from the American Community Survey (ACS), Nonemployer Statistics, County Business Patterns and the economic census are now available at the metropolitan and micropolitan statistical area levels.

Other updates include:

* New ACS socio-economic variables such as the percent working age population, percentage of all workers 16 and over by mode of transportation to work, and the percentage of remote workers.

* Updated vintage years for many other datasets.
